The version that is most commonly recited today is as follows:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

Prayers of Faith in the Bible
There are many prayers of faith in the Bible that can be used as inspiration for personal prayer. One example is the prayer of faith in the book of James:
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
James 5:13-15
This passage from James encourages prayer as a means of dealing with trouble, sickness and sin, and it assures that the prayer offered in faith will be answered, as the Lord will raise the person and forgive their sins.
Another example is the faith of Abraham in the book of Genesis:
Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
Genesis 15:6
There is also the faith of the Centurion in the book of Matthew:
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.”
